Margo Piddleton
Children’s Book Author
Introduction
Margo Piddleton is best known for writing the Fluffernut and Waffles book series, about two silly raccoons who open a detective agency inside a teapot. Her books are full of giggles, mysteries, and snack-related clues.
Early Life
Margo was born on March 14, 1975, in Puddingville, Ohio. As a kid, she loved making up stories about her stuffed animals and drawing comics on napkins. She wrote her first book in a notebook when she was only nine, about a hamster who wanted to be a pirate.
Later Years
Margo still writes stories every day and visits schools to read aloud in funny voices. She now lives in a purple house with her three cats, a typewriter named Clunky, and a fridge full of pudding. She is still writing new adventures for Fluffernut and Waffles.
Contributions
Margo has helped lots of kids learn to love reading by writing stories that are silly, smart, and full of heart. Her books have been turned into plays, puppet shows, and even a cereal box maze.
Fun Facts
She once wore a raccoon costume to a book signing and only spoke in rhymes.
Her cat Pickles once accidentally stepped on her keyboard and created a character named Mr. Fizzlepants.
